Home  /  The firm

Since 1993, close to the region’s businesses.

A Bayonne-Pau inter-bar SELARL: three partners, two associates, one clerk and three legal assistants.

Thirty years of history

The dates that made the firm.

1993

The founding

René-Paul ARAEZ and Éric CAZAURAN set up the firm on avenue du Maréchal Harispe, in Bayonne, around an approach to advice turned towards the client’s project.

2005

The Pau office

David BONNEMASON-CARRERE becomes a partner. ACBC converts into an inter-bar SELARL and opens its second office, bringing in insolvency proceedings and sports law.

2018

Tax expertise

Sébastien BENOTEAU joins the firm and becomes a partner. Anthony JACQUET and Sandrine EDREI arrive the following year. Tax becomes a practice in its own right, alongside advice to company directors and sale transactions.

2023

Three partners

Anthony JACQUET is appointed partner. The firm reaches its present shape: three partners, two offices, ten practice areas.

Today

A generation later

More than three hundred companies advised on a retainer, two founding honorary lawyers, and the same conviction: advice serves the project, not the other way round.

Our history

Thirty years of business law in the Basque Country and Béarn.

René-Paul ARAEZ and Éric CAZAURAN met in 1991. Both had practised as associates in leading advisory firms; they founded ACBC in 1993, on avenue du Maréchal Harispe in Bayonne, before moving to the premises at Espace Toki Lana.

From the outset, the firm took a “pro-business” approach to advice, turned entirely towards the solution best suited to the client’s situation. That practice was built alongside major players in the regional economy: companies leading the European surfwear market, steelmaking, transport, handling, the medical sector — but also traders, craftsmen, SMEs and independent professionals.

Being based in both Bayonne and Pau makes the firm an active participant in the development of the region’s businesses, alongside venture capital companies and local financial partners.
